THE WINTERBERG NORTH LOOP WITH TOP OF SAUERLAND: ON THE SECOND STAGE AT 3RIDES GRAVEL WINTERBERG, THE TOP RIDERS CAN GET INTO POSITION.

17-19 JULY 2026 IN WINTERBERG
The second stage (35 km / approx. 850 m per lap) takes the field into the rugged nature of the Hochsauerland and is characterized by an off-road section of 93%. From the start at the ski lift carousel, the course first leads across the open spaces of the plateau before plunging into the extensive wooded areas south of Winterberg.

Here the route reaches its zenith at approx. 842 m and leads over the exposed heath and high moorland landscape of the second highest mountain in NRW.
The way back runs over the forest ridges above Lenneplätze, where fast gravel alternates with rougher forest paths. The final lap leads through the dense coniferous forests back towards the bike park, with the cumulative strain of the climbs to the Asten plateau becoming more noticeable with each lap (up to 105 km).
